[resolved] AD Overlap Warning - 72 hours to fix (8 posts)

I use easy adsense and I only have it set for 1 ad. I have this ad as a:

Lead-in AdSense Text (Appears near the beginning of the post)
    Beginning of Post
    Align Left, No Wrap

    It is a 336 x 280 Ad.

I got a warning from Google stating -

    Violation explanation

AD CONTENT OVERLAP: As stated in our program policies, publishers are not permitted to alter the behavior of Google ads in any way. This includes placing ads so that they cover any part of the site content or parts of a webpage to cover any portion of the ads.

With 72 hours to fix this.

Nothing overlaps it though! I have all other easy adsense ads supressed so nothing would ever show apart from the one I had.

Is using easy adsense all ok yeah?

    Thanks

I haven't seen this before. Can you post the URL to your blog so that I can take a look?

    Hi Manojtd

I just wanted to reply and say that it has nothing to do with the easy adsense plugin at all. Let me explain what happened (and this may help others also):

I purchased a new theme as I wanted site design to look better. The particular layout of this design I liked due to the categories being near the header part, however with this I never realized that when you hovered over the categories the drop-down menu would show and this would partially cover my header adsense ad.

I mailed google and they confirmed this was the problem and as I removed everything was all ok now ;)

    Thanks

Hi shaunybhoy, I just want to ask how long that google said everything is all okay after 72 hours? And warning tab on your account also gone? for how long? Because I already pass 72 hours and still haven't any update from them. Thanks

Hi Jules, this is me just have 2 accounts. They usually will not reply to you at all, as long as you fix it within 72 hours, next time they check it and all sorted your account will resume as normal.

I only heard back from them because I emailed them to confirm what I thought the problem was, and to tell them I had now fixed it, and they confirmed all was ok now, as the message from them does not really tell you what the problem is.

Just fix any issues you have, and that's all you need to do, they check your site next time, and if all ok your all good ;)

Thank you, thank you very much for your reply wherewhy :). Because I already 5 years using adsense, and my warning is the same as you, ad content overlap. And I also using drop down menu :). Okay I'm feeling a lot better now, I've been searching for this kind of reply from the person who personally experienced it everywhere and I found it here, thanks again :)
