For security reasons, it’s probably best to create a “guest” account and display the userid and password on your blog for your visitors to use.
That’s an excellent idea. However, is it possible to create a mechanism for auto user registration? For example, to post to this forum, it is very easy to create a new user and then post. The whole process takes 2 minutes.
Is setting up a bb (ex bbpress) the best way to do this?
Under Options->General, you can allow users to register themselves.
Once I allow users to register themselves, how do I only grant them rights to only Write new Posts and manage any other part of the system?
If anyone has any ideas about this, I would really appreciate your help. I want to use WP for a new site I am building for my company but cannot until I confirm that this is doable. Thanks!
