Two days ago I moved a WordPress website from another host to GoDaddy, followed the instrux step by step and talked to a GoDaddy tech to confirm I'd done everything right. "Yep," he said. "I can see your site from my machine. It'll take a day to propagate so that you can see it too, but all your files are in order and everything's fine."
After 48 hours, the site — isuroon.org — still shows a generic "Hello world!" page with the name "Isuroon" (it's a Somali word, BTW) and a line that reads "Just another WordPress site."
I spent three hours on the phone this morning with a GoDaddy helper who led me down a dozen blind alleys and ultimately told me to click "Log in" on the WordPress page showing up at isuroon.org so i could get into the dashboard. He told me to enter my new FTP Admin User Name and password. They didn't work. I then tried every other possible combination of usernames and passwords — none of which were accepted. Clicking "Lost Your Password?" and entering my FTP username (or, alternatively, all other possible usernames I can think of) does nothing; after the click, the password-retrieval page just comes back blank.
The final answer from the GoDaddy tech: "Sorry, we don't support WordPress. It's not our product. You'll just have to find a solution somewhere else." Alas, getting WordPress on the phone is impossible, and I don't have a clue what to do. I'm guessing there's something wrong with my settings, or there's something the tech doesn't know about how to make GoDaddy and WordPress work together.
I don't know *what* the problem might be, but I'm at my wit's end. Can someone please, please help me?
