  • Hello

I am having an issue with what I think is probably to do with the css regarding the active link not highlighting in a different colour on the menu.

The wordpress page I am trying to get right is at:
    http://s441383657.websitehome.co.uk/?page_id=97

And the current live site is at:
    http://www.leappartnership.co.uk/whoweare2.php?id=1

I guess that I probably need to put somewhere in my style.css the correct colour (which needs to be: #d247d8) under the “current-menu-item” tag, but whatever I’ve tried putting into style.css it still isnt working.

Is anyone able to assist pointing this css newbie in right direction please?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Julian

  • Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

Okay, thank you for the link, I’ll give it a go.

I’ve given this a go, and its a great piece of software, and its got me so far – to the point where I can get the links highlighting – but it isnt 100% right… if I’ve got a top level of the menu selected as the active link then all of the sub pages also highlight, but if I’ve got a sub page selected then only that page is selected, as per the page here…

I’m guessing that this is something to do with the way that “current_page_item” is coded in the style.css file – but I can’t figure it out for the life of me!

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks again in advance.

    Julian
