due to some issues i deleted anything related to wordpress, wamp, etc off of my computer. i put everything back on, configure everything, and not a single issue but one- jetpack won't activate, it says it cannot connect to wordpress.COM and is giving error:
Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/
i have NO idea why this is happening..the only differences i can guess at are that, in my deleting / reinstalls, i may have installed newer versions of wordpress and/or jetpack? this is driving me nuts :|
data:
- wordpress/jetpack/wamp are latest (wamp is the latest 64 bit one, version 2.2e)
- the site is ONLY on localhost, which is 'offline' (i'm still developing right now; any wordpress.COM sites i have are different than the one i'm developing)
