Activate Theme or plugin and Page goes blank

    Hi All,

    I posted this in “themes and templates” but no response….

    When I activate a new theme (Elegant Themes) the page goes blank and I cannot log back into WordPress until I delete the theme from my contents folder on my Earthlink host site.

    Same for certain plugins. Once the page goes blank I cannot log back into WordPress until I remove the plugin.

    Any suggestions?

    The theme or plugin which you are activating may either be not compatible with the WordPress version you have on or there might be plugin conflicts or the functions within the theme may be conflicting with another plugin you have activated in your installation, etc. etc. etc.

    For the theme from Elegant Themes, try deactivating all plugins you have installed then activate the premium theme. If that works, then activate other plugins one by one and see if you get white screen. If you find the plugin that triggers the error, then contact Elegant Themes and report the bug/problem.
