• Hi,

I installed your plugin in a new site I’m developing. I added three languages and unchecked the “Activate languages and translations for media” checkbox.

I add some images to a post in the default language. I translate it to the other two languages, but when I click the “Add Media” button in the translated post, there are no images.

My question is, is this the expected behavior?

    Hi!

if you did uncheck the “Activate languages and translations for media” option, then Polylang does not interfer with how WP deals with media, then you should see them all. I just checked again pn my test install and it works perfectly for me.

I can’t see any images if I select the “Uploaded to this post” option in the media uploader dropdown.

EDIT: your problem may come from the fact that with WP, an attachment can have only one parent. Once you insert a media in one post, the media is attached to *this* post. If you insert it in a second post (eg the translation), the media won’t be attached to this second post. I cannot change this. You would have the same issue with Polylang de-activated.

Oh, I see. I assumed that setting “Activate languages and translations for media” off would mean that Polylang would make copies of an attachment in a post to all its translations automatically.
