I've been searching for a membership plugin that works a little different from the ones I've been able to find.
I need a plugin that allows an individual to create a paid subscription account. That account needs to then support an arbitrary number of users.
Does anything like this exist already or am I up a creek?

Let me get this right, you want to charge people for access to a system where they can invite users to sign up?
If so I think you should look at using Multisite in combination with Supporter (to charge for site creation) and then give each site owner the ability to use a plugin like Membership (there's also a "Lite" version).
Correct me if I've mis-understood and I'll see what else I can suggest :)

Not exactly. It's More like a business would sign up and need all their employees to be able to access the site with their own user. Different subscription levels might allow different numbers of users to use the site. They won't be creating content or managing anything really. They are paying for access to content.
I'm actually using the Membership plugin you suggested now. Seems to work for single user subscriptions.
Multisite seems like it's really the way to go though for what they want. I'll check out Supporter...looks cool.

Ah okay, in that case... Membership would allow you to specify that only members can gain access to create new users. Therefore, a business would sign up and pay for access which would include the ability to add acounts for all their staff.
