    Hey everyone-

Let me just preface this by saying, I'm completely new to WordPress. :)

I've been editing my CSS using the "Editor" panel in WordPress dashboard and I accidentally deleted about half of my custom CSS. Then saved over it.

Is there any way to recover this?

Do you have a backup of your theme files?

If not, can you re-download your theme to restore the full css file (losing any of your edits)?

I do have my theme files, but unfortunately it was kind of a bare-bones theme and I did a ton of custom CSS. I now realize that, though convenient, live-editing without saving a hard copy was kind of dumb. Oh well, lesson learned.

    Thanks for your response!

You should not edit CSS directly. Use a child theme. That way when your theme updates you won't lose your edits.
