Access to previous releases? (3 posts)

Hi. I did a few searches on the site to try and figure out how to download previous releases, but I've come up blank. All of the release announcements for 1.5.x don't seem to have permalinks to the actual version.

My issue is this: I'm trying out wordpress, but I can't find a theme I like. I want to set it up on my local machine so that I can have a quicker theme development cycle than messing with it in public. Problem is that my hosting provider is using 1.5, and I don't want to use a different version in case there are some issues between the two.

Every link that I could find for the 1.5.x series went back to the 2.0.2 release or the latest.zip file. This isn't really going to do me any good. I'm sure that most people don't care, but it would be useful to have a release archive like Apache/Jakarta/SourceForge so that if you needed to install a particular release, it was easy to do so.

Any pointers would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    ast

Thanks for that, Skippy. I'll download the one I need now. Still, it might be helpful to have a link to the archives on the releases notification pages so people can find them easier. Just a suggestion.

    Thanks again,

    ast
