[resolved] access to Jetpack stats by authors and contributors (4 posts)

    Hello,
I setup a new user with permissions as an "Author" today on our self-hosted WP website. He successfully linked his self-hosted and .com WP accounts while he was logged into his account and I was watching.

After clicking on "You can view your stats dashboard here" the message comes up, "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page".

Are Jetpack stats only available to Administrators?

    Thanks,
    Sandy

  2. Hi Sandy,

Aside from administrators, you can allow other user roles to view stats by doing the following:

    1. Go to Jetpack in your dashboard.
    2. For the WordPress.com Stats module, click Configure.
    3. Next to Report Visibility, check the additional user roles that you'd like allow viewing the site stats.
