   While trying to translate into Spanish Pages and Categories, Páginas and Categorías, I couldn't find a way to do it. If I use the isolatin equivalent it breaks the word. If I use the character (in Macintosh) a question mark appears.
   The trouble is with wp_list_pages and with wp_list_categories in sidebar.php.
   Is there a way to solve it?

   You have to hard code the titles in your sidebar.php

   Whenever you edit a template file make sure your text editor saves them with utf-8 encoding! Otherwise you get the errors you just described above.
