Absolute urls in WP

Is there a way WP-Page Navi can generate absolute url’s for pagination.
For eg if I enter the url http://www.mywebsite.com?p=2 and then click on the link for the second page it goes to http://www.mywebsite.com/page/2?p=2, I want it to be http://www.mywebsite.com/page/2 only.The reason for this is that we earlier used Movable Type which used a query for pagination – ?p=2 and so forth. So now Google crawls the pages with those queries and generates a lot of duplicate pages in the index.
