Don’t know what it is for, but I’ve disabled it from the “Car Demon Settings” panel.
Yeah I saw that. My client saw the “About” tab and really wanted it for their inventory so I was wondering how I could utilize it but so far I’ve found nothing. Thanks though, I might have to just disable it.
The way it is currently designed it pulls information from the user profile field. It was originally intended to be used in conjunction with Car Demon’s Salesman affiliate code feature.
By default it displays the page author’s Bio Information field. If a Salesman’s affiliate cookie has been dropped then it displays that salesman’s bio information field.
So all you need to use it is insert whatever you want into your bio info field on your user profile screen on the back.
In the future I’ll move the default about us information to each location’s contact setting’s page so it makes a little more sense. Just so it’s backwards compatible I’ll make sure it rolls back to the page author’s bio field if no location setting has been made.
