   I am new to php and I am struggling in how to create an about page. I tried to copy the index.php and strip it down but it never works. What exactly do I need to take out of it. Also, I've seen other sites where links on the navigation menu are like this : ...../index.php?page_id=1
   how does that work? is there a way i can make an about page that way? any help would be much appreciated.

    The email are sent - please excuse the fact that I did not have the time to re-write them - I cut and pasted a couple emails into one
