Hey guys -
I just installed my first WP instance on localhost the other day to do some light plugin development and today I noticed that my About page can't be found. I have the run-of-the-mill .htaccess file in my web root that WP told me to install when I selected a "pretty" permalink style. It's rw available to the Apache user (www). The admin section says the page is published.
What else should I be looking for?

So, as is the call all too often, I found the problem shortly after posting. It seems my problem was caused by one of OSX's "extended attributes". Specifically the quarantine bit (@). Apparently, this bit is often set on compressed archives that are unpacked. Once I removed the bit, the "About" page loaded up just fine.
