   Hi! From what I've read, WordPress automatically creates Author archive pages but when I try to load one on my site, it just redirects to the homepage. I can't figure out what's going on - can you help me?

   The page I'm trying to access is formatted like this: http://www.url.com/author/name

   Do I need to create the author pages myself, somehow?

   Nevermind, I just solved it: the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin had been set to "Disable the author archives" under the Indexation settings page. Fixed now! Hope this helps someone else in the future. :)
