I've just installed WP 2.5.1 on my server and imported the whole blog onto it.
I am able to browse through the posts.
However, the 'About' and 'Archive' pages throw up a 404 error.
Do I need to set these pages up somewhere? I thought they would be configured automatically according to my previous blog.
Nothing ever happened to my pages during upgrades. Do you mean that if you try to manage them, you get the 404? That would be odd.

Its not during the upgrade.
I host a blog at wordpress which has working 'about' and 'archive' pages on the front page.
Now I import the whole posts, pages, etc on to the server which has got WordPress 2.5.1 installed. And I uploaded the same theme too(Monotone).
But now two links whouldn't work.
I am able to manage them from the Dashboard, but when I browse through my front site, both the pages give 404. It has something to do with permalinks? Mine are set to default.
However I tried to upgrade to WP2.6 hoping that the issue would be fixed, and I was stuck up with a different issue altogether after the upgrade.
An insight into the managing the pages on the front page would be very helpful.
Sorry, I never had to move from .com to .org, so I have no experience with that. Being WP both times, you'd say that that should work. But before I can have a peek of what's going on, you'll have to figure out that maintenance mode thing............. (No more ideas on that one myself.)
