These days themes including the premium ones are evolving at a fast pace. Newer themes smack of better and more flexible design, with more layout and color options, etc. These entice the end user to switch the theme more frequently.
But changing to different themes has its associated cost. Unless the website is more of blog type, it needs to be turned onto maintenance mode and only when all the matter is placed at appropriate positions can the website be up and running. Sometimes this may take a week to shift it entirely.
I wonder if wordpress could let me change the website to the new theme without it truly updating (the changes are of course seen by the designer!) And when ready the website can then be updated truly.
