Ability to enter the "Write Post Page" from the Home Page (10 posts)

I wish for my users to be able to click on a link from my home page and be able to write a post without signing in ? Is this possible ?

This is a family website so registering is not mandatory and when users initially enter the site they are required fora generic id amd password. The home page is a wordpress template.

It seem so you can only comment, but post from the home page (without signing in). If someone can provide me with some examples that would be great.

Go to http://cjbehm.dyndns.org/wingingit/quick-post/, download and install quickpost.

If on 2.0.1, see the js fixit in the last couple of comments. Other problems, post back here.

When I look at my misc options tab I see "2.0 — 0.41 seconds" for the version. Does this mean I have the wrong version for the functionality I discuss above.

No, not at all. I never had quickpost installed on 2.0, only on 2.0.1, so I don't know that it would mean needing the js tweak (I'd bet it would though....)

I did a bad job of reading the previous post. I will try quickpost. I love wordpress. Thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure there is a link to make a donation which I will find and contribute.

Can you provide a link so I can see quickpost in action.

Only the one to the author's site which is really just a graphic. I use quickpost on my own sites only for me, I don't allow access to it to anyone else. So I have it set for only my user id, but you should be able to set it for anyone to use.

Just out of curiousity-Why does worepress allow you to comment from the front page, but in order to write a post you must login. I realize I can install the above quickpost, but I thought this functionality would have been part of the core WordPress product.

Hi, when i click active, it shows:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wodegong/public_html/guoshui9403/wp-content/plugins/quickpost.php:1) in /home/wodegong/public_html/guoshui9403/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php on line 269

And when i want to write post, it shows:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wodegong/public_html/guoshui9403/wp-content/plugins/quickpost.php:1) in /home/wodegong/public_html/guoshui9403/wp-admin/inline-uploading.php on line 5

Can someone tell me what is wrong with this?

    Thanks
