This should be doable without any interference from the wordpress install on domain.com
As it is, anything added to sub.domain.com gets the content at the domain.com,
a feature request would be to make WP aware that subdomain with non-wp files is just that a sub domain that should allow andy and all non-wp files, apps to exist
You must have been messed up your install (or your server) if it does what you say!
WP in root: http://www.transycan.net
Subdomain: http://crosscultural.transycan.net (non-WP files)
+ a twist... there is a WP blog in a subdir of the subdomain: http://crosscultural.transycan.net/blog

i know what the problem was, the name was too short, apparently it needed to be longer than 4 characters its working
