• I have studied the websites that have said how easy it is to change your front page in 2.7 – and it is. However, when I choose a post page my original home page, where the posts are, is not listed. When I click on the original home/post page live link on the website I, of course, get sent to the page I specify as my front page.
How can I make the original home page my listed post page or, alternatively, can I make the original home link disappear and send posts to a new page.

    Please help, losing my hair!!

  • Many times the “Home” link is hardcoded in a theme’s header.php template file and you would need to find and remove that reference.

For conversation, change to the WordPress Default Theme.

Create a Page called Blog, then visit Administration > Settings > Reading and set the Posts page to Blog. That assumes you have the Front page displays A static page set. Change the Front page to the “About” (hope you still have that).

Now visit your site and on the sidebar, under the list of Pages you should see Blog that you can click to see your posts.

If your theme isn’t making use of displaying Page links with something like the template tag, wp_list_pages(), you might want to find one that does.
