• Hi,

I’m new to WordPress, installed it on my web space, tweaked it to exactly what I want but have one last problem. I really want to get rid of this under my posts,

“This entry was posted on Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 8:12 pm and is filed under ‘category’. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. Both comments and pings are currently closed.”

Since I don’t use comments or the categories and it just looks funny on my site. Could somebody point me in right direction and what files to be looking in to edit or delete this?

    Thanks for your time

  • Navigate to your theme directory (wp-content/themes/*Your theme*/) and locate either the post.php or index.php files. Do a search of the file looking for the phrase “This entry was posted” and it should take you to the appropriate section of the file. Go ahead and delete the relevant code, or post it on this forum so we can look at it.

Hi thanks for your help, it was the single.php file, which is probably one of the only files didn’t look in.

    Thanks again.
