   On three of my WordPress blogs (version 2.1.2) a spammer has erased my posts and replaced with spam that is set to "no display" with CSS.

   I have backups generated by Austin Matzko's 'Wordpress Database Backup' plugin, but I don't know how to use them. I tried to "import" and it didn't work.

   How can I prevent this from happening again? How can I restore my posts? I have set all the missing posts to "draft".

   I'm sure others are having this problem; I couldn't be the only one. Any insight on how a spammer can delete my posts and replace with spam?

   As some websites are victimized because of easy usernames, you may want to use difficult usernames to guess as well as passwords.

   Thanks ... I will take both suggestions - though honestly, I prefer the older version of WordPress. I will miss the preview on the same page most of all. I feel like I'm being forced to say goodbye to an old friend (v.2.1.2).
