A Site Back Up

    Is using an FTP software (Core FTP) to copy the folder public_html a good and easy method to back-up the entire site? If not, why not.

    Although it will work, it will be relatively slow because ftp has to copy one file at a time and there is a lot of overhead in creating each file on the backup. Also, ftp by itself will not back up the database.

    I would recommend the BackUpWordPress plugin as it seems to be fast and reliable.
