If a wordpress.com .xml file is imported to a new blog running wordpress.org software none of the existing youtube videos [and other clips, as well] with shortcuts,
e.g. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8zFOBxEvds]
work as is.
Is there an existing plugin which will allow these video clips with shortcuts to work as is in a new blog using wordpress.org software and imported .xml files?
If not ... is someone willing/able to create one?
Thanks, in advance. :-)
I use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/embedded-video-with-link
but the syntax is different, you do [youtube V8zFOBxEvds nolink] (the nolink stops a link being displayed under the video). Depends how many posts you have that would need updating I suppose!

I have hundreds of videos on my blog.
Updating them with just the 'youtube ID' is wholly impractical.
What I need is a plugin that allows youtube videos to be set in place with the youtube short-cut that exists currently in the wordpress.com version ... i.e.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/IDcode]
That's exactly what I need.
Can someone create this or not?

So ... I guess this means no one is able to create a plugin that does this.
That's a shame.
