   I was wondering if there's a hack or a plugin that will separate the list of plugins into enabled and disabled.

   One way of implementation could be that at wp-admin/plugins.php, there are two tabs: 'Active Plugins' and 'Disabled Plugins' which are each arranged alphabetically.
