    From scratch, no build from a previous theme or anything. I typed up the index, then cut it up into the header and footer and content, and styled and added comments. It's not really plugin-friendly because of this.. but it gives me more flexibity.

    What do you guys think?

    Well I like it so far James. There are things that still need work though I think.
    Some more alignment / symmetry should be added. The top navigation box goes to far to the right, should be aligned with the main content or main content plus tag box should be made wider. Now it's an island adrift.
    The footer sticks out and should be aligned with the main content box or the sidebar should go to the bottom This could be done by adding a divider containing video content and sidebar with background-color:#EEE;. Like that it looks like the sidebar continues to the bottom..
    Add a nice favicon. It just looks nicer like that

    I liked your website design. One of the things I liked best was how much open space there was. It gives a nice break to a reader's eyes. : )

    It reminds me a lot of old Live Journal layout. Pretty cool.
