I have been using wordpress.com for a while. I want to use wordpress.org. I just got bluehost to host the site and clicked to install the wordpress software.

I am sure I am not thinking this through. Bluehost has my billscottlive.com down which of course is aimed at billscottlive.wordpress.com right now. I also bought the templates at Stand Themes.

I cannot get any further. I am not sure what to do in order to set up wordpress.org. I want to of course work on a site before going live and cannot find the install button that is one the wordpress.com Themes area but I don't see that.

I know I am missing something big. Someone please steer me in the right direction. Thank you so much.

Looks like your domain is redirecting to wordpress.com you need to delete the redirect if you do not know how to ask your host for help

I do know how to redirect. I was hoping to build my site first before sending people there. Billscottlive.com is my current blog on wordpress.com. Is there a way for me to build the site so people don't watch me build it and than redirect once finished?

Ask your hosts if they can provide you with a temporary url for your WP site.

Your host should have provided you with an IP address when you signed up for their services. You can use this but in order to do so you will have to update the site URL in the database.

See 'Changing the URL directly in the Database' here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
