   HI!

   I had a problem with my wordpress (wordpress-2.7.1) - so I downloaded WordPress 2.8.6 again. I overwrote all the files, including the contents. Yes, I lost all my uploads but that's not my main problem.

   My problem now is when Im trying to add a new post.
   A lot of problems comes with...

   1) I got only four "buttons" over the box where I'm supposed to write. "Add Photo, Video, Sound and Media". Before, it was a menu under it, with "Embed Videos, type, put to center, put to right, put to left, fonttype etc..." Where is that??

   2) When I press "upload photo" or one of the other four signs i've got, the "upload"-window does not open as a new window. It opens ON THE SAME WINDOW, down to the left... i can only see something of it, down to the left, and I can not press "upload" - I just know it's there because I can see a part of it...

   3) my typing font is white...
   I can not see what Im writing, unless I mark it all, because the typing font is white.

   4) I cannot copy/paste a pcture in to the box where im supposed to write.

   HOW TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS?

   Ive downloaden 2.8.6 many times, overwriting ALL the files every time. Please help me!!!

   Did you delete before uploading or did you just overwrite? You should be deleting first.

   I am facing exactly the same problems. There is nothing that changed recently. I didnt even add new plugins. I have no clue why these issues came up suddenly. Can someone please help me find a solution?
