• This plug-in is an awesome idea. I was super excited when I installed it and set it up. I ended up deleting it though. My reason is this: Although the plug-in is fantastic, it has way too many things wrong with it. Many of the things in the user profiles are messed up, like the first page (You) you can’t scroll down on for some reason. Plus on the Game Center page there are random numbers and lines that seem like they shouldn’t be there. Also the colors are a little messed up because I can only change so few font colors and it displays the same color even on dark and light background in some places so it’s barely readable or looks awful. I know you can change this with CSS (and I am definitely capable), but I couldn’t be bothered with it. If I come back to this in the future and it has been polished up I may consider downloading it again. I just don’t want it in it’s current state to be on my site because I’m a perfectionist and to me it just isn’t up to par.

    Hi @aemihelcich,

Thanks for writing a review for our plugin. I’m sorry to hear you were having trouble with Captain Up and would like to suggest a few points where we can help:

    1. Rendering Issues – Captain Up sits right on top of your site. That means that some CSS Specificity issues can occur. We try our best to prevent this, and we succeed in most cases, but there is no silver bullet. If you send us a link to your site we’ll be able to run it with our tech team and fix any issues found.

    2. Color Customizations – The Themes tab in your admin panel has a lot of options for customizing the color palette to suit your website’s design. Other than the 3 default themes, you can pick and combine 5 colors to create your own Captain Up theme. If that’s not enough, we do offer custom CSS code to be added.

We would love to hear more feedback from you, and it will help us improve and shape our product over time. Please email us at team@captainup.com and I’ll personally make sure we’re doing everything we can to help out.

    Best,
    Ido
