I may be new and stupid, but (using default theme at http://www.niksnexus.net/weblog ), IE displays test content so far as expected, but without the header; Safari displays the 1st three posts only and and no nav bar/column at all; FF displays 1st few entries in column width, but next few unwrapped and nav at bottom. Tried using other themes and that doesn't help. Reduced width of photos, tried setting options>reading> to >summary, but that did nothing at all, etc.

(read thro a bunch of FAQ's and tutorials, but it's a jungle out there)

  2. It's the code for the movie in this post: http://niksnexus.net/weblog/?p=10

Fix that, and you should be fine. The easiest way is to use a plugin such as Viper's Video Quicktags.

    Thank you for the plugin,
that corrects display with Safari and Opera, tho not with Firefox, and Internet Exploiter doesn't display header, but that's obviously another issue. Onward...

It appears that your posts need edited, and crap extra codes removed from them maybe? If you're posting articles right into your text editor, from some type of Word Processor, this will happen.

I'd probably go through each post of your's and remove extra added codes like: <div> and </div>'s for example..and try validating your blog.
