   Hi!
   I'm installing a WordPress blog for someone who wants to use it as a private diary. Installation was successful but after going thru the dashboard I can't find a setting that would make the page invisible to the public. I create a test page, view it and then log out. View it again. It's there, visible to everyone. Since this is a private diary, my client would like it be viewable only to her, if someone should happen upon the page. Can anyone help?

   create a local server on your client's computer and install it there.

   I wrote a plugin to hide a blog unless logged in. You can download it here:

   You will find others in the plugins directory that do similar things. Search for members only.

   Another option would be to mark the posts as private, before publishing them.
