problem with MarketPress Lite 2.5.1 email notifications Version

Hi, i have just installed Market Press, and for the most part it seems to be working well. But neither i not customers are getting ANY email messages from the site. i only receive notifications from paypal, otherwise i have no notifications of purchase and my clients are not getting their’s either so that will make later retrieval of digital file or tracking orders a problem as they won’t have a copy of the Order ID in their email.

I do have my address in the Store Admin Email box, but seeings as clients also do not get messages i think the problem runs deeper. The site still sends me messages when there is s new comment or ping backs so it’s not the server/php i think. Is there a setting somewhere i should be looking for to switch it on?
