• Hi There!

I’m on MAC 10.7.5 and working in my local computer as usual before going live.

I’ve downloaded WP many times today and my wp-content shows only the themes and plugins folders. There is no upload folder.

Also, when I try to add or delete plugins the system ask me my FTP credentials.

    I’m stuck!

    Help please!

    Thanks!
    boco

  • The uploads folder is created when you upload stuff.

The other issue has to do with your folder permissions. You have to make the folder writeable by your web server’s user. I’m not sure what it is on a Mac.

What are you using for localhost, is it mamp or any other local hosting tool?

    I use MAMP Pro.

    You need to look here,

WordPress is fine, problem with MAMP

I just to tried that and I have a connection error for my Local testing environment.

I’m going to try again. That said, I’ve been using MAMP for years and I’m actually have it installed in 3 other MAC, same OS system and have no problem at all with Local WordPress testing sites.

Following these steps, I have this weird address:
    afp://unknown109addaf0531.att.net/

    Does this make sense?

    Thanks much!
