    Hi,

Does anyone know how I can insert a short code button instead of the title of my blog?

For example, instead of the large Edinburgh Hotel Deals text as my blog title, I’d like to have a large button (with the same text) using a short code.

    http://www.edinburghhoteldeals.org/

You can see the type of short code buttons I use in the blog posts, for example ‘Click Here For Group Accommodation Deals In Edinburgh’.

Any help is much appreciated, thank you for your time.

    Jill

  • A standard shortcode will not work in the Post or site title as shortcodes are usually parsed by the_content() filter. I’m not even sure why you would want either. Your site (blog) title is only used once (in Settings -> General) and your individual Post titles should be crafted to maximise their SEO – which would mean not using the same text all of the time.

    Hi Esmi,

Thanks for the info. I was looking to spice up my title text a little – I think the Twenty Eleven title is a bit basic but I’m sure there are plenty of other ways to do that.

Thanks for your help as ever.

How about using a different font via Google Fonts?

I don’t know what Google fonts are but I will check them out.

    Thanks for the great shout.
