   Hi guys,
   I'm hoping to switch templates today but I want to do it in the background, make sure it's working and then do the big 'Ta-da!' thing to my users.

   Is there a way of switching the blog off and leaving a static "This site is undergoing maintenance" thing whilst I do all the necessary changes and fiddly bits not in full view of my users?

   Any help appreciated.
