wptouch in Portuguese

Wptouch does not have Portuguese language support in its Regionalization Settings. I’m willing to contribute to it (and I’ll be helping myself to in the process, because all of my readers are Portuguese and Brazilian).

Could anyone tell me how I should proceed in order to create a Portuguese file for wptouch?
