I have installed, activated, and configured the sidebar widgets that I would like displayed on my site. When I hit "save" and go to view site, nothing has changed. I switched to using the Kubrick theme to keep things simple and easy, as I was told it is built for sidebar widgets.
Any ideas why they won't display? I have spent ALL EVENING looking for a similar post but nothing is quite the same situation
The Kubrick theme is *not* designed for sidebar widgets. It's not too difficult to modify it for them, but the default theme that comes with WordPress has not been so modified.
You either want to replace the sidebar.php and functions.php templates from the default (Kubrick) theme in your WordPress install with the one that comes with Sidebar Widgets, or follow the directions for making a theme widget-friendly:
