What version are you running? I seem to remember WordPress remembering which ones you left open.
Try upgrading to 2.0.5.
hm…i delete the version nr, now i can’t remembe :). it should be 2.0.2 or so. it’s not possible to edit the file? i dont like to upgrade.
hm…
I recommend that you upgrade. Older versions have security issues.
it always will be sec-issues :). beside i will do it later. but it should be able to fix the drop-down menu WITHOUT upgrade right?
What OS/browser are you using?
Cookies enabled?
firefox, MAC and PC. cookies are good. but i don’t want it to remember, i want it “open” all the times. the older version has it 🙂
this must be a tought question, since no one here knows how to modify it :), maybe wordpress team knows?
IT’s not a tough question. The “normal” behavior is for the box to stay open on then next posting if you left it open, thus the questions about version, browser, cookies, etc.
i just think if the user use it the first time, the box will be close and they might not see it (newbies), then it’s better to have it open like older version of WP (less than 2.0)
cheers
ACtually, if my memory serves me, all the boxes are OPEN on first visit, and you have to close them. From there, it’s a preference stored in a cookie.
ok, maybe u are right. thanks, mate.
