WP SEO News Sitemap not generating URLS

    WordPress version: 3.4.1
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.8.7
    News SEO ver: 1.0

    I did this: We have the Yoast News SEO module running with the WordPress SEO plugin and while sitemaps get generated, our news one has only been generating one url. Our client has been publishing multiple URLS per day. Why isn’t it picking up urls? I didn’t choose to exclude any category either. Is it expecting some other setting?

    I expected the plugin to do this: Create a news sitemap

    Instead it did this: Created an empty news sitemap

    We really need some advice on this as we can’t afford to lose this client and he is asking us urgently to fix this since he depends on being indexed in Google News. He’s been in there for three years and then we migrated him away from Movable Type to WordPress and now this plugin won’t do the sitemap.

    I also want to point out that all other sitemaps, like posts and so forth, are generating dynamically.

    I’m having the same issue. The plugin generated urls in the news sitemap when I first installed it last week, but seems to have stopped a couple of days ago and now the news sitemap is empty (no new posts have been picked up by Google News since October 18th, so it seems to have stopped then).

    I haven’t made any major changes to the site or added any new plugins, and deactivating any plugins that have updated recently doesn’t seem to help.

    Well, yesterday I disabled and then reenabled the plugin and news module. Weirdly, after reenabling, it indexed three recent urls. And then stopped again. Very frustrating. And we can’t get other plugins for sitemaps to work, I suspect because of the rewrite rules Yoast needs in the server (nginx).
