Making sure about removing /wordpress from end of url

    I would like to remove /wordpress from the end of my site’s url. I’ve looked at similar threads in this forum, but am still not confident on the solution – maybe it sounds too simple to be true. The URL is hosted with a hosting company that allowed me to install WordPress. In my General Settings both the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) are set to: http://caminosecrets.com/wordpress. Do I just have to delete the /wordpress from these two settings and then press the Save Changes button?

    The best advise at first is to contact your host…there are many hosting environments and types of hosting accounts/setups….too many to answer above directly – they will know…if they don’t, consider a new host.

    I was able to change the url from my host’s control panel using the FTP Manager.
