I would like to remove /wordpress from the end of my site’s url. I’ve looked at similar threads in this forum, but am still not confident on the solution – maybe it sounds too simple to be true. The URL is hosted with a hosting company that allowed me to install WordPress. In my General Settings both the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) are set to: http://caminosecrets.com/wordpress. Do I just have to delete the /wordpress from these two settings and then press the Save Changes button?

  • The best advise at first is to contact your host…there are many hosting environments and types of hosting accounts/setups….too many to answer above directly – they will know…if they don’t, consider a new host.

I was able to change the url from my host’s control panel using the FTP Manager.
