I have the free blog but no plug-in dashboard

Hi all

I’ve set myself up a free blog, and would like to use a plugin to allow me to create subscriptions, and therefore a database of users.

Having looked through all the intro pages it seems that I’m missing the ‘plugin’ option from my admin dashboard.

I’m confused as to whether this is a feature of the free blog, or part of the bigger WordPress site where I would need to have the site hosted externally etc. (which is something I’m planning in the future).

Can anyone help clarify this for me please?
