I just had my WP 2.0.5 installed by the friendly and great install team. I was surprised to find that the documentation that I had been following to save my MT blog for importing was outdated. The 'import.txt' file that i saved now needs to be imported as 'mt.cgi' apparently, so I just renamed it and am hoping for the best. When I use the new import process though, it tries and then gives me the following error. The install is as described:
"WordPress files actually reside in folder: /httpdocs/wordpress/
Even though the actual WordPress files reside in a sub-directory, an
index.php file was put in your webroot, and the Options->General admin page
Blog address (URI) was changed so that WordPress acts as your main page."
Here's the error that I got from the import script after it appeared to be working on my 2mb 'mt.cgi' file.
"Import Movable Type and Typepad
Sorry, there has been an error.
Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/sintwitties.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2006/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?"
