Try:
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
I don’t understand what happened – I was in the WP Admin updating blog posts & next thing I know I have a list in lieu of a website. There is no way I did by simply updating a blog post!
So when you say re-upload all files & folders I am confused. I have files that reside on my CMS (bluehost.com) and then the data files that were transferred over from my blog that was previously on wordpress.com.
Just trying to understand so I am clear on what I need to do.
Thanks!
You need to upload all of the WordPress core files & folders except the wp-content folder. They appear to have gone “missing” on your site.
Esmi – How the heck does that happen??? I have the most current version of WP running on my CMS so what would cause this?
I think that’s a question that you need to ask your hosts…
