[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Google sitemap generator – error when building sitemap.xml

    I ran the plugin and received the error message:

    Result of the last build process, started on October 16, 2012 8:44 am.
    There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more
    There was a problem writing your zipped sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more
    The building process took about 0.01 seconds to complete and used 39.5 MB of memory.

    I have created a sitemap.xml file and copied it to the root. Changed permissions to 777.

    Any idea how to resolve this?
