• I am customizing the kw.po theme and can’t get rid of the “kw.po” title at the top. I changed the title to the name of my blog. I also added a tagline. But when I go to the page and refresh it, the new tagline is there but the title still says “kw.po.” How do I fix this?

Yes, I cleared the cache, but that didn’t help. I’m using Safari on a MacbookPro. This is a new site with an Under Construction page, so I don’t think you’ll be able to see what I’m seeing at this link: http://www.whatwomenaresaying.com.

If you can see it, this is the admin view of the page I’m referring to: http://www.whatwomenaresaying.com/wp-admin/customize.php

    Nope, can’t see the site.

Are you talking about the “title” in the header section of the page (the large black kw.pr next to the red square)?

Yes, that’s it. I’m assuming that’s the title, and the tagline I’m using does appear right below it now. I looked at the header section under Editor where there’s coding for the title and tagline, but didn’t see anything obvious that I could change to fix it. But I’m not an experienced coder, either.

That “title” is a background header image — so look for an option to change that. There must be a built-in option as it would never make sense for that to stay as is! Might be called a logo as that’s what it’s called in the theme code.

I think the logo may be the red square and that it’s a permanent part of the template. At least, I don’t see any logo or kw.po images in Media or anywhere else. I’ve gone through all of the settings in each menu and don’t see anything called logo or that looks like one.

OK, I found the logo file in my Bluehost C-Panel. It’s in the kw.po theme folder under the Images sub-folder. Should I delete it? Will I then need to re-code the Editor where refers to the logo?

You would need to re-code it. A round about way to do what you want is name the logo you want the exact same as the kw.po logo image file. Then change the kw.po logo image name and upload yours. Then the code would just load your logo. You would need to worry about sizes as well.

I’ll give that a shot. Thanks for your help.
