When I do a search for “search phrase” in quotes, the results are as expected. If I do a search for “search phrase” keyword, keyword seems to be ignored. If I put quotes around keyword too, then the results are as expected, containing both keyword and phrase.

    “search phrase” “keyword”

    works as I would expect

    “search phrase” keyword

    to work.

Are you using OR or AND?

If you have AND set and search for

    “search phrase” keyword

then you should only get those posts with both “search phrase” and keyword present. If you have OR set as the default operator, then you’ll get posts with “search phrase” and maybe the keyword, but not necessarily.

first of all thank you Mikko for a great plugin.

secondly, I have exactly the same problem. Is it possible to search for
    “search phrase” AND “keyword”
and have both terms in search results ?

I have “OR” operator set in my settings.

"search phrase" +keyword will make sure that both terms appear in results. However, this only works in Relevanssi Premium, as the plus operator is not supported in the free version.

Searching for "search phrase" "keyword" will work as well.
