    hi!
    I have used one of the themes of wordpress. My question is can we change the name of the theme in [wp-content/themes/theme_folder_name] and work with my new name replaced? or is it just an immature way of thinkin or doing?? its just the way i wanted! plz do response with my point of view.

  • You also have to change it from the style.css file in the template folder.
    Look at the comment on top, that’s where you need to change.

    i changed the name of my folder i.e twentyten to something. Then as u said i did change the name in style.css in theme name(something) but the layout of page is changed(some content of pages like my menu bar in homepage shows pages other than i assigned in menu navigation settings) with the name after i replace.it didnt work actually.Is there anything more need to be replaced for my solution??

    You may need to go to Back-end / Appearance / Menu and check again.
    Usually you only have to change the name in style.css and that’s it.
