Could you post the version of WordPress, BuddyPress and Courseware you use? Also please test it with BuddyPress default theme.
I am using WordPress 3.4.2, Budypress Courseware 0.97 and the Buddypress default theme. The error appears to be related to the calendar when selecting due dates as it returns “Please fill in all the fields.” and shows the calendar again. Could it be a conflict with some of my many plugins? Not sure. I am using this on college.theclhs.org

Yep, you could try disabling one plugin by one and see if that’s the issue.
Tip, start with plugins that have impact on frontend.
Same issue. Current WP, BP and Courseware. All plugins disabled using default BP theme. This same issue was also reported by others on BP.org. This is a Courseware bug that makes it unusable.

Yes it is. Just tried on a fresh install. What are the required fields?
After running more tests I discovered this only happens on existing groups that where created before installing the plugin. In newly created groups it works fine. This is the same for the “Cheatin” bug.
I also am receiving “BuddyPress Courseware Error! Cheatin’ Uh?” when clicking on course description for “old” Groups.
Let me add this is a remarkable plugin. Perhaps the most important plugin written for WP/BP. That’s why I was so frustrated by this bug, but I can work around that by creating new groups (which we may have done anyway).
Anyway, just wanted to add that and thank you for all the free hard work you put into it.

I just want you to know our bug reports and suggestions are only to make this better and we appreciate this is a free plugin and you are under no obligation to offer support. I think many here in these forums forget that fact.

This issue really isn’t resolved. It still effects Groups created prior to installing the plugin (as far as we can tell).

Any progress on this? I don’t get an error; it just doesn’t do anything when I try to save an assignment and it’s certainly not saving.
